LET'S WORK TOGETHER! I DO YOUR LASHES AND YOU TAKE CARE OF THEM.

Let me help you make your eyelash extensions last as long as possible, follow this aftercare guide and get the most out of your lashes. Not only are they beautiful but they are also very delicate!

Lash Health

I take this part of my job VERY seriously. By assessing your natural hairs, I dictate what length and weight (extensions) or timing and curl type (lash lift) you can and cannot handle. Lash health is a two person job, I do half and so do you! If you regularly do things that are not recommended while wearing lash extensions, you may get premature fall out which will lead to a stunt in new eyelash growth.

Lash Lift and Tint Care

For all you low maintenance people out there this service is for you! The aftercare is as easy as keeping them dry for 24hrs.
If you have a lash serum or lash conditioner that's a bonus but not required.

Lash Extension Do's and Don’ts

DO

Oil free products around the eye area are a key component of lash retention. Oils are known to break down the bond between the extension and the hair. If you're using anything around your eyes, make sure it's oil free!

Clean your eyelashes and eye area with a lash shampoo often, to prevent natural oils and bacteria from building up.
Not sure when to clean them or how often? Every day if you can or a few times a week, minimum. Examples of times you will 100% need to wash your lashes would be after a sweaty work out sesh, after a night out with eyeliner/eyeshadow, and after a swim in the ocean.

How to clean: Use an eyelash extension cleanser and a soft brush, if you don't have either, both are sold in salon. Wet your brush and lather the cleanser directly onto your eye, then swipe your brush from side to side across your eyelid and at the base of your extensions, as well as up and down. Rinse with luke warm water and pat dry with a paper towel. Try to avoid patting with a regular towel as the fibers can sometimes become caught in your lashes. This is also true with cotton pads, cotton swabs, baby wipes, and make up wipes.

Gently brush your lashes daily and after washing them to keep them from tangling or bunching.

Let me know if you are having any troubles with your lash extensions. If something has gone wrong on my end or on your end let's try and pinpoint the issue. As a professional I want to help you troubleshoot if I can! If a "fix" is needed and it has been less than 7 days since your new set or fill please contact me at [email protected] and we can discuss options.

Schedule an appointment within 2-3 weeks after you full set to fill in any lashes that have naturally shed.

Come to your new set, fill, or lash lift and tint appointments with clean lashes free of makeup.

DON'T

Do not get your eyelashes wet and avoid excessive amounts of steam for the first 24hrs after application. This can cause the adhesive to over cure and become brittle causing immediate fall out.
Do not use oil based products around the eye area. Some examples of things that may have oils in them are shampoos/conditioners e.g coconut oil or argon oil, makeup products, lotions, creams, makeup remover, and facial cleansers. Be careful and check your products if you are noticing extensions falling out without your natural lashes attached.

Do not use eyelash curlers, mascara, or strip lashes!

Do not rub your eyes, tug on your lashes, pick at your lashes, touch your lashes with your fingers and if you can avoid sleeping on your face then that is ideal. In some cases, one side of your eyelashes will shed quicker than the other and that is usually the side that you sleep on.

Use caution when near extensive heat. It's not uncommon that I see lashes come in that have been singed at the tips.
What could cause this? Opening the BBQ while standing too close, opening the oven while face is too close, being too close to campfire, blow drying your hair on the hot setting, having a lighter near your face or cigarette.

Do not try and remove them yourself. Please book a removal appointment, it is quick and easy!

***If in a rare case that you experience intense itching or red and swollen eyelids after application, this could be a sign of an allergic reaction. Unfortunately, these symptoms are largely unavoidable if an allergy is the case. This is a very uncommon circumstance, but possible. Patch tests are available for both extensions and lash lift and tints by contacting [email protected]. It is important to let your service provider know if you have any allergies that you are aware of.***
